Old Spot Brewery

Old Spot Brewery was set up in 2005 at Manor Farm, in Station Road, and was named after an old farm sheep dog that used to live outside the brewery and lived to a happy old 21 years. .Most of the brewing equipment was bought from Boat Brewery in Castleford which ceased brewing in November 2004.

The first 2 brews "Dogs In’t Barrel and Lift Off" proved a massive hit with .local CAMRA members at the Cricketer’s Arms in Keighley. Since then they  have been consistently creating new brews and won many awards for their beers.

In 2011 Chris the head brewer and partner in Old Spot bought the George Hotel in the village.of Cullingworth. which now acts as the Brewery Tap for Old Spot. The George is a fine largely Georgian pub with the original front section on the market square and extensions out back in recent years to expand the dining areas. As far as drinking is concerned and there’s two rows of ales over seven pumps, one row being the permanent brews from this brewery and the occasional, special and seasonal brews on the other.
